April Newsletter

Happy Resurrection Day, Sunday, April 5, 2026!

Wow, April was an absolutely incredible month! I had the amazing opportunity to record my cancer healing testimony for DJ Stephen Jones of Big Storm Radio on Soundphere Radio in Austin, Texas, to share with his wonderful listeners. I also had the delightful opportunity to perform live online on Red’s Room via Zoom and Facebook Live for a worship night concert the day before Easter. Celebrating our risen Savior, Jesus Christ, during the Easter holiday filled me with joy, and I was thrilled to see “Gaining the Victory” being played on the new station, Redberry Radio in the UK, during Gary’s Crash N’ Burn Show on Easter morning. It was also a true blessing to sing in the Easter Cantata with the church choir during the evening service at my home church, Gateway Tabernacle Church in Martinsville, IN. What a thrill it was to make it to #12 on the charts at Wild Dogs Radio! Additionally, I was fortunate to travel to St. Joseph, MO, for my music ministry, where I held two concerts, one at North Church of God for a benefit supporting the Beauty from Ashes Food Pantry who were gathering food donations & A Hand Up, Not A Handout, gathering hygiene products for those in need. We successfully gathered food, hygiene products, and monetary donations for both charities at the concert. I am so grateful to Cindy Weeks for organizing the two events, including the second concert, which was an encore concert at ROC Fellowship Church, where I sang for the wonderful ladies of the Beauty for Ashes women’s ministry. We enjoyed a marvelous time of fellowship, praise, and worship together, and I did a meet and greet and had CD’s and t-shirts for purchase in the lobby at both concerts. After the concerts, the next day, my husband and I embarked on an exciting adventure in his new 2025 Mojito Green Jeep Wrangler Sport S Turbo (only a demo with just 170 miles)! We traveled to Colorado to marvel at the breathtaking Rocky Mountains in Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs, and Denver for a couple of days. It was a fantastic time, experiencing the awe and beauty of God’s creations, and I also had the joy of traveling through two new states, Nebraska and Iowa, for the first time! The weather was beautiful, and our travels were safe. Excitingly, “Gaining the Victory” has been nominated for the 2026 Elite Music Awards for Song of the Year, and I reached the top 30 chart on Wild Dogs Radio at #11! I cannot forget to mention the joy I feel playing keyboard and singing country gospel songs with my country band, The Tune Tossers, on Tuesday nights at the Martinsville Senior Center for the delightful Tuesday family dance night and pitch-in dinner at 6:30 pm EST, with just a $5 entrance fee. Lastly, I would like to say it’s always a blast to sing alongside volunteers from my church, Gateway Tabernacle Church, at
The Waters of Martinsville nursing facility and rehab center on Wednesday nights at 5:30 pm EST. We gather around the piano, singing hymns, Southern Gospel songs, and CCM worship songs for our nursing home ministry night, creating a joyful atmosphere where many residents and staff join in singing along. I am filled with hope and anticipation for the month of May, believing it will bring even more opportunities for my music ministry and exciting new doors to open!
