May was a wonderful month of ministering in music and song across various venues and churches. It started on Sunday, May 3rd at 4:30 pm with the Cup of Love Coffeehouse at Gateway Tabernacle Church in Martinsville, IN. This event featured CGM recording artist Linda Lester, my band, The Sound in the Wilderness & Friends band, me; Lisacarriemarie, an open mic segment, and the event was served as a benefit concert for Pastor Chuck & Becky Reeves of the Manhattan Biker Church in Manhattan, IN. Sadly, Becky was fighting stage 4 cancer and went home to be with Jesus on Friday, May 29, 2026. However, we raised over $700 for the Reeves family.

Update: Becky Reeves went home to be with Jesus on May 29, 2026 – RIP & please pray for her family, church family, and friends.
May 10th was Mother’s Day, and I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt wishes: “Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers—whether by birth, through foster care, adoption, or in a spiritual sense. Your love, nourishment, guidance, and prayers are invaluable as we navigate this journey of life on Earth. Please know that you are deeply appreciated.”

I felt truly grateful to have the opportunity to sing and play piano on Wednesday nights at 5:30 pm in the dining hall of the Waters of Martinsville Nursing Home, alongside the kind members of Gateway Tabernacle Church. It was a heartwarming experience to come together and share the joy of singing old hymns around the piano, creating cherished moments together while praising the Lord.

Then on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 7 pm, Gateway Tabernacle Church of Martinsville, IN warmly hosted a CGM Benefit Concert for the Gateway Food Pantry, which is located just across from the church. This heartfelt benefit was a Country Western Gospel Concert, where many attendees chose to wear western attire to show their support for CGM (Country Gospel Ministries Inc. with their headquarters in Branson, MO). We were blessed with performances by my group, The Sound in the Wilderness & Friends, along with CGM members: The Singing Crowes (Tony & Trina Crowe from Ohio), Linda Lester from Martinsville, IN, and myself, Lisacarriemarie from Martinsville, IN. Although we missed Karen Chandler Stoker from Decatur, IN at the concert, we look forward to welcoming her at a future date. Together, we were able to raise nearly $100 in donations and gather several pounds of food, and for that, we give thanks—praise the Lord!

Next, I was truly blessed to discover that I have been selected to share my song, “Gaining the Victory,” during the TJ’s Muse Bridge Summer Show on Museboat Live at 5 pm EST on Sunday, May 24, 2026. I’m also incredibly grateful to be featured again on the Song on Demand Show on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, 2026, at 5 PM EST.

As we celebrated Memorial Day, giving honor and remembering the service men and women who have bravely served our country, I was asked to provide sound equipment, perform as Lisacarriemarie, perform with my band, The Sound in the Wilderness & Friends, LTD, as well as have an open mic segment for folks to sing for a charity concert at the Sarah T. Bolton Park in Beech Grove, IN. The benefit concert was held to help raise funds for Pastor Tammy Davis & Elder Lloyd Davis of Gateway Tabernacle Church, (Tammy is my sister and Lloyd is my brother in-law) for unexpected medical and living expenses. Elder Lloyd had an abdominal aortic aneurysm just a few short weeks ago. Thankfully, through prayer and the swift action of the medical team that performed an emergency surgery at a hospital in Indianapolis, he is on the mend. Unfortunately, he has had complications of blood clots, and the overall healing process has left him unable to work at this time. Pastor Tammy is still on the mend from falling on the ice in Maine this past winter and breaking her shoulder. Thankfully about $2000 was raised for to help them out during this time.

On Sunday, May 31, 2026, I had the incredible honor of being featured as a new artist on the TJ’s Muse Bridge Summer Show on Museboat Live at 5 pm EST. It was a fun and exciting experience. I was also thrilled to share my music on the Song on Demand Show the following day, June 1, 2026, at 5 pm EST.

Lastly, I feel truly blessed to be a part of the The Tune Tossers band at the Martinsville Senior Center in Martinsville, IN. Playing with this extraordinarily talented group brings me so much joy. I cherish the opportunity to share my voice by singing a few hymns and Gospel songs on Tuesday nights at 6:30 pm, creating beautiful moments and memories together.

I am so excited about the summer months ahead, filled with the joy of traveling, singing, and playing for Jesus in various places! Whether it’s churches, venues, special concert events, fairs, radio stations, coffeehouses, or cafes, each opportunity fills me with anticipation. I can hardly wait to see all that the Lord has in store for my music ministry, as I share the wonderful good news about Jesus and His incredible love and saving power!

ministries are always appreciated.
